Undefeated: Genesis is giving players the chance to live out a full superhero fantasy, complete with high-speed flight, laser vision, powerful energy attacks, and large-scale battles across an alien world.
The upcoming action RPG follows Albert Haltree, who unexpectedly wakes up on the distant planet of Voltissia with a collection of extraordinary abilities. A new trailer shown during the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct offers a closer look at how those powers work in combat and exploration.
He is equally capable once he returns to the ground. The trailer shows Albert chaining together fast melee attacks against strange four-armed, one-eyed creatures, while several larger enemies bring even more variety to the encounters.
Some of the monsters shown resemble mutated versions of familiar animals, including a massive crab-like creature and a bulky beast with gorilla-like features. Given the alien setting, however, the game appears free to experiment with unusual enemy designs.

Voltissia itself has a mysterious history. According to the current story details, the planet’s main civilization was destroyed by a massive unexplained explosion around 500 years before the events of the game. Mutated creatures reportedly began appearing shortly afterward, raising questions about whether the two events are connected.
Combat will also play an important role in character progression. Defeating enemies and seeking out encounters will allow players to unlock additional superhero abilities, which can alter the way Albert moves, explores the world, and approaches fights.
That progression system appears designed to encourage constant exploration. Rather than simply moving between story objectives, players will have a reason to search the environment for new battles and opportunities to expand Albert’s powers.
A playable demo for Undefeated: Genesis is available on Steam now, giving players an early opportunity to test its flight and combat systems. The full game is currently planned for release sometime in 2027.
